Software with one more direction.

Baseract is the studio where I build the tools I could not buy. Ten of them live here, real and running.

BASERACT No. 1 · HYPERCUBE IN GLASS
TURNING IN TWO PLANES YOU CANNOT POINT AT
DRAG IT. IT DOES NOT MIND.

0 · A POINT

It starts with a point of light.

One person who kept thinking, surely this can work better than it does.

1 · A BEAM

Held long enough, a point becomes a beam.

I ship something most weeks, even when nobody is watching. Especially then.

2 · A SHEET

Beams cross and you get a surface.

Screens, mostly. The places where a tool meets an ordinary Tuesday morning.

3 · A CHAMBER

Close the surfaces and light fills a room.

Real software with real weight. Databases, logins, backups, the unglamorous load bearing walls.

4 · BASERACT

Fold the room once more and you get Baseract.

A shape with more sides than sense. You are standing in it now.

THE SPECTRUM

Pass one light through a prism and the beams keep coming. Ten so far, every one of them made here, most of them used daily.

THE VISIT

Come by anytime.

Baseract is what I make after hours. If one of these tools would make your week lighter, or you are busy building your own little machines, write to me. I answer.

Dawnline

the inbox, quieted

My inbox used to greet me like a crowd shouting. Dawnline gets up earlier than I do, reads everything that landed overnight and writes me one quiet page: what matters, what can wait, what to ignore entirely. Mornings stopped being triage.
