Software with one more direction.

Baseract is the studio where I build the tools I could not buy. Twelve of them live here, real and running.

step inside
BASERACT No. 1 · HYPERCUBE IN GLASS
TURNING IN TWO PLANES YOU CANNOT POINT AT
DRAG IT. IT DOES NOT MIND.

0 · A POINT

It starts with a point of light.

One person who kept thinking, surely this can work better than it does.

1 · A BEAM

Held long enough, a point becomes a beam.

I ship something most weeks, even when nobody is watching. Especially then.

2 · A SHEET

Beams cross and you get a surface.

Screens, mostly. The places where a tool meets an ordinary Tuesday morning.

3 · A CHAMBER

Close the surfaces and light fills a room.

Real software with real weight. Databases, logins, backups, the unglamorous load bearing walls.

4 · BASERACT

Fold the room once more and you get Baseract.

A shape with more sides than sense. You are standing in it now.

The spectrum

Pass one light through a prism and the beams keep coming. Twelve so far, every one of them made here, most of them used daily.

01 OF 12 BY INVITATION

Kestrel

the markets, watched

Kestrel reads the markets so my mornings stay calm. Charts, signals and a plan for the day, ready before the coffee cools. It is private, and a visit is by invitation.

02 OF 12 LIVE

Dawnline

the inbox, quieted

Dawnline reads an overflowing inbox and hands back one quiet page. The email feels lighter afterwards. So do I.

03 OF 12 GROWING

Lodestone

the training, kept honest

Lodestone remembers every lift and every match, so I can argue with my excuses. Progress charts, a muscle map, a sports ledger and a trainer that plans the next block.

04 OF 12 GROWING

Dosekeep

the cabinet, minded

Dosekeep minds the family medicine cabinet: what we have, what ran out, what expires next, shared by everyone at home. Not medical advice, just fewer surprises.

05 OF 12 IN THE WORKSHOP

Sotto Console

the voice, kept home

Sotto Console types what I say into any app and reads selected text back to me, in voices that run on this machine. Not one word of it ever leaves.

06 OF 12 IN THE WORKSHOP

Sotto Neural Bridge

the conversation, in my own voice

Sotto Neural Bridge is the half of Sotto I talk to. I speak or type, Claude answers, and the reply comes back in my own cloned voice while it is still being written.

07 OF 12 LIVE

Vantry

the work, watched live

Vantry is the command center over everything I build. Every project, task and decision across the workspace mirrors onto one live board, behind my own sign in.

08 OF 12 LIVE

BAP

the numbers, gathered

The analytics room for everything here. Privacy first: no cookies, nothing personal, and every Baseract site and app reports into one dashboard.

09 OF 12 LIVE

Sightvane

search, seen clearly

An SEO and AI visibility instrument. Crawls, keywords and rankings on one channel; what the answer engines say about a brand on the other.

10 OF 12 LIVE

TrueFrame

phones, on the bench

TrueFrame holds my web apps up to real iPhone and Android frames, audits what breaks, then dresses the result for the app stores at their exact sizes.

11 OF 12 LIVE

BHA

architecture, framed

The website I built for my brother’s architecture practice, Bilal Hoss Architects: Swiss minimal, editorial and calm, carrying thirteen years of built work across three regions.

12 OF 12 IN THE WORKSHOP

Pixalton

a world, in pixels

Pixalton is the game I am making: a creature RPG drawn in pixels, two titles set in one original world. Very much in the workshop.

THE VISIT

Come by anytime.

Baseract is what I make after hours. If one of these tools would make your week lighter, or you are busy building your own little machines, write to me. I answer.

Sotto Neural Bridge

the conversation, in my own voice

Sotto Neural Bridge is the other half of Sotto, and the one I open most. I press space and talk, and Claude answers in my own cloned voice, speaking while the reply is still being written. It can look things up on the web and draw a chart right in the conversation, and seven personalities change its tone but never its facts. It is also the one deliberate exception to Sotto’s privacy rule: each turn I send goes out to Claude. The voices and everything else stay home, and it refuses to open secret files at all. A phone companion sits on the bench beside it.

04 views of Sotto Neural Bridge, as it runs.

  1. Sotto Neural Bridge desktop with a question about the Sotto handoff file and a reply from Nova in a translucent card beside the glowing neural core.
PLATE 01Ask it anything, hear it answer.
  2. Sotto Neural Bridge desktop showing a reply with an inline bar chart of frame cost before and after, 14.7 and 3.4 milliseconds.
PLATE 02It can draw the answer, too.
  3. Sotto Neural Bridge desktop showing a reply with an inline pie chart of install footprint across PyTorch, Whisper, XTTS, Kokoro and Piper.
PLATE 03Breakdowns arrive right in the conversation.
  4. Sotto Neural Bridge phone companion with the neural core centred, a hint to tap the microphone, a microphone button and a message field.
